Red Tape Brewery opened in December of 2020 at 159 Main St. in Toronto’s east end. They specialize in creating small-batch, bespoke beers, personalized to a customer’s needs. The location also features a taproom and storefront with unique and featured beers, including takeout cans for anyone to enjoy.

The family-run, Indigenous-owned  brewery was launched by Sarabeth and Sean Holden. The Toronto couple started brewing beers in 2017 to share something special with their friends and family living far from the city in time for their son Raymond’s arrival in January 2018. Now, they’ve made a business out of it.

Along with raising two young children, the duo has their hands full. Sean is the head brewer and recipe creator while Sarabeth handles the day to day operations and packaging line (sometimes solo). From hosting trivia nights and serving customers to making deliveries and organizing events, there isn’t much they don’t have a hand in.
